About the Composer
Bill Wrigley
Bill Wrigley is a composer, orchestrator and pianist living on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. He composes works for orchestra, ensembles, choir, and piano.
He has composed and performed his Glasshouse Mountains Piano Concerto at the Brisbane and Caloundra Town Halls and at an outdoor concert in Maleny, on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.
More recently he was invited to record his One Day, Together: An Outback Love Cantata for orchestra and choir at the studios of the Pannonia Film Orchestra in Budapest, Hungary.
He holds a PhD in the assessment of music performance where he studied at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, Griffith University.
He has also published peer-reviewed journal articles on the flow state in music performance and the assessment of music performance quality (see list of publications below).

One Day, Together: An Outback Love Cantata
An interview on the recording of and inspiration behind the music by the composer, Bill Wrigley, during the recording with the Pannonia Film Orchestra and Choir in Budapest of his orchestra and choir work, One Day, Together: An Outback Love Cantata.
1. Awakening
Awakening depicts two people waking together to the joyful sounds of dawn in the Australian bush and, envigorated by these sounds, launch into their unfolding, new day with a sense of anticiaption, excitement and joy.
2. Happy Rain
Happy Rain celebrates two people witnessing the arrival of the first heavy rains on the dusty, dry paddocks in Outback Australia after a long and arduous drought. The music depicts the various sounds, rhythms and moods they feel from the rains, culminating in dancing together to express their celebratory joy and gratitude for the arrival of the rains.
3. Between the Light
Between the Light expresses the peaceful, relective time at sunset when two people, as they gaze out across the vast, quiet Australian landscape, lovingly share the intimacies of their day, the joys of the past and present, and their dreams for the future.
4. Endless Shining Star Lights
Endless Shining Star Lights expresses two people’s wondrous encounter with the vast, bright, starry night sky of Outback Australia as they imagine their journey through its endless arrays of close and far-away star lights in the expansive and infinite space.
